The Challenge

At the same time, reviewers need visibility into why a document passed or failed validation and the ability to revisit previous validation results when rules change.
The Solution
CloudWave designed DocAssure AI to combine artificial intelligence with user-defined business rules to automate document review within Salesforce.
The process begins by creating a document type, where users define the type of document being validated, provide a description, select the appropriate Salesforce object, and configure whether validation should occur automatically after upload.
Organizations can then generate validation rules in one of two ways. Users may upload a sample document for AI analysis, allowing the system to recommend validation rules based on the document’s contents, or they can manually provide instructions to create custom rules. Suggested rules can be reviewed, edited, accepted, or discarded, giving organizations complete control over how documents are evaluated.
Using a custom Lightning Web Component, DocAssure AI can be deployed across standard and custom Salesforce objects. Once a document is uploaded, the system validates the file against the configured rules and presents the results within Salesforce.
Validation Results and Auditing
For every processed document, users can review the original file alongside an AI-generated text extraction and detailed validation results. Each rule includes supporting evidence, confidence scores, and validation outcomes, helping users understand how the system reached its conclusions.
DocAssure AI also maintains a complete validation history for every document. If validation rules are updated, users can rerun the validation process to compare results while preserving previous executions. This creates a comprehensive audit trail that supports quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement of validation rules over time.
